The Help Page

Hello, and welcome! If you're experiencing technical difficulties getting into the game, then this is certainly far from the worst place to be. Down below there is a list of known issues we know some players experience, along with a solution for each one.

Just click on the "Show More" button below the issue you're experiencing and follow the steps that appear. All should be solved in no time.

This page will be updated as new issues are discovered and solved, and if your issue isn't listed currently you can always contact us directly via the options at the bottom of the page.

Issue List

My controllers aren't being tracked in game. / The game freezes after measuring.

DetailsBoth of these issues usually occur when your OpenXR Runtime has not been set up properly. You can fix both of these issues by following the steps listed below:

For players using an Oculus/Meta device:
  1. Open your Oculus client
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Go to "General"
  4. Press the "Set Oculus as active" button next to the "OpenXR Runtime" text
  5. Make sure that you ONLY have the Oculus client active. (So no SteamVR or another third party VR app)
  6. Play RUMBLE!

Players not using an Oculus/Meta device:
  1. Open your SteamVR client
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Go to "OpenXR"
  4. Press the "Set SteamVR as OpenXR Runtime" button.
  5. Play RUMBLE!

I have a disability which limits the degree to which I can rotate my hands.

DetailsTo make sure you can fully experience RUMBLE as a player with hand-rotation disabilities, we've created a Controller Rotation Offset feature in the game.
Whenever you want to set up a controller rotation offset, the thing you need to do is:

  1. Go to: C:/Users/[Windows name]/AppData/LocalLow/Buckethead Entertainment/RUMBLE/[Oculus or Steam]/[Your User ID]/Config/Input.xml
  2. Open your Input.xml file with a text-editing program.
  3. Add the following text to the file before :

    0
    0
    0

    0
    0
    0

  4. Save the Input.xml
  5. Restart the game.

means the rotational offset in your left controller.
means the rotational offset in your right controller.
The , , variables are standing for the axis your controller needs to be rotated with. (0 - 360 degrees)

At the moment this solution is quite a programmer-like solution, but we will come up with a more user friendly solution in our next patch. For now, we think that it's more important to let players with that disability play the game.

If you need any clarifications, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'll help you out wherever we can!
