Update notes via Steam Community

Let's kick off this weekend with a Major Update! 🥳

There is just over a week left until the release of Vet Clinic DLC and today we come to you with a major update that also includes the additional free content to the game! You can download it right now!

Once again, we would like to thank you all for your feedback, logs, suggestions, and ideas 🤝 this is a real treasure trove of knowledge for us, and we always want to meet the expectations of our amazing community. 😍

Below is a list of things we have prepared for you 😊

CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:

- Not everyone who cares about homeless animals can take them into their home, but any support is valuable, so every now and then, the shelter might get a pleasant surprise in the form of an email with a small sum of money.
- Saddles and bridles are pricey gear, so it's worth properly looking after them - from now on You can hang them on a fancy hanger that you can buy in Build Mode.
- Don't let your pets languish in their cages and boxes - perk them up by taking them out for a walk in the park or a joyride! Animals out on walks or rides now have more realistically adjusted stats: they get dirty a bit quicker, tire a bit more, and get hungry faster, but that's a small price to pay for a swiftly rising happiness bar, right?
- Shhh, the baby's sleeping... Just like real puppies and kittens, our virtual little ones spend a good deal of their time snoozing. So, we've adjusted their behavior to reflect this, making their sleeping patterns more believable.
- Water and food bowls can now be placed not only in cages but also in the play area (and office buildings too!), making it easier than ever for your furry friends to take a quick play-break for a drink or a snack. Refreshment is just a paw's reach away!
- During a good playtime, time seems to flow faster than usual... which isn't necessarily a good thing when you have to manage not one, but two shelters full of attention-seeking pets. So, we've implemented a change: now, when the player is occupied in one shelter, life in the other slows down a bit. This results in a slower decline of the animals' stats, giving you a better chance to keep all tails wagging!
- Extra helping hands in the shelter are always a welcome sight. That's why we've decided to expand the skillset of our brave helpers. We've sent them off to several trainings, enabling them to actively participate more in the shelter's daily life. Specializing an helper does take away the passive bonus they added to the shelter's stats, but on the bright side, you'll never trip over an empty box again - we think that's a fair trade.
- We've stocked the store with some new decorative items. Perhaps a vibrant, beautiful vase or a quaint desk globe might catch your fancy? Add a personal touch to your shelter with these appealing new additions!
- Personal space? Never heard of it... Your personal pet, once adopted by the player, is so grateful that it wants to follow its new owner everywhere. So, if its basic needs are met, it will try to tail the player. Yes: EVEN THE CAT! Experience true virtual companionship with your grateful fur buddy who simply can't bear to be apart from you.
- An option has appeared in the main menu to jump straight into the horse shelter game. But take heed, this is a choice for more seasoned players as the tutorial missions are turned off in this mode.
- You can now access a complete list of all your shelter's residents - dogs, cats, and horses - right from your computer, without having to move between shelters. Keep track of your four-legged friends with ease.
- In the game menu, you can now activate the 'click-to-move' option. This feature allows you to move objects in build mode with a simple left-click of the mouse, eliminating the need to hold the button down while dragging. Enhancing your gaming experience, one click at a time!
- Even the most diligent shelter manager can sometimes lose count in this bustling, fast-paced world of animal rescue. Thanks to new counters for incoming and outgoing pets, you'll never forget about that van carrying a new fur friend heading to your shelter. These helpful counters have been added to the appropriate panels on your computer and are also visible in the overlay accessed by pressing the TAB key.
- Horses, feeling a touch of envy of their canine and feline counterparts' modeling careers, have learned how to strike a pose, updated their wardrobe, and are now ready for their photo shoots! We've added a few interesting options for horses to our photoshoot feature. Lights, camera, gallop - your equine friends are ready for their close-ups!
- We've polished up the cage cleaning system - the tooltips have been improved, and the progress bar during floor sweeping in animal cages has been refined. Every sweep counts, ensuring our furry residents have the cleanest possible living conditions!

BUG FIXES:

- Fixed a bug in Mission 09, which sometimes caused the system to not properly register the collection of a sick animal's blood sample.
- Tweaks to the cage floor cleaning mechanics - dirt on the floor should now be more visible, making it easier to ensure a 100% squeaky clean cage.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally made it impossible to bathe an Inu breed dog.
- Fixed a bug that caused the progress circle to disappear while pouring litter into the cat litter box.
- Fixed a bug that caused one of the dog actions to function improperly, which in turn caused a significant drop in the game's frame rate.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the queue of animals waiting for shelter admission to be empty, thereby hindering progress in missions aimed at leveling up the shelter's reputation.
- Fixed a bug that incorrectly modified a horse's stats during game load.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused horses to lose their bridles and load into the game without them.
- Fixed a bug that prevented saddles from providing the appropriate stamina bonus to horses with the "Likes Riding" perk.
- Fixed the incorrect tooltips for the carrot, syrup, and several other items that can be given to pets, which were displaying inaccurately.
- Fixed a bug that caused some items available from the Build Mode menu to become stuck when placed too close to the shelter's gate.
- Fixed a bug that allowed buildings to be placed on environmental elements (decorations, drone landing pads, etc.).

Thank you again for your commitment to Animal Shelter! 🐶 😺
