Hello everyone,
we are back from a small vacation and back to working on Costly Adventure. We would like to thank everyone who is helping us test the game and is providing feedback. We are treating the play-test as a sort of early-access but everyone is welcomed.

Changelog:
  • New "Inspect Overlay", see below for more info
  • Fixed issue with Strider boss saving&loading
  • Removed placeholder music
  • Hopefully fixed a soft-lock issue when matching


The new Inspect Overlay is our answer to a common feedback about lack clarity about talent effects, especially for new players. You can activate it by holding Tab key or toggle it through the icon in bottom left corner. In the overlay you can inspect talent effects on any tile at your own leisure.



The Inspect Overlay is intended to be more of a clarification, especially for newer players. We would like to avoid the overlay being the main way to interact with the game, hence you cannot match while in the mode and it doesn't stop candle timer.

The overlay also felt like a great opportunity to add some tooltips to the UI. So both HUD elements and boss UI now have short tooltips in the overlay view.

Next we are looking into making the game goal (not run out of money) more clear from the start, optional speeding up animations, more crash/lock fixes and display in higher resolutions.
