I'm excited to announce the addition of a free hunt mode to Public Land Hunter. This is a game mode for players to have a casual experience on a larger map without the pressure of a clock. Please see below for details.

Added:

- Free hunt mode where players can enter a larger map with no time limit and hunt all species except for ducks. This was a common request from players who wanted to have a relaxing time with the game instead of feeling the pressure of the clock. This really resonated with me since a game should be fun and not stressful. Players can still challenge themselves with all the timed hunts but this is a way for players to kick back with something more casual when they just feel like shooting a few things. All kills in this mode count towards unlocks in the cabin. With the removal of a time limit the deer patterning is a little different. Instead of bedding deer will wander onto the map to feed and then wander off. You can still target the acorns they are feeding on but to help you can also now press the trigger when the binos are on a deer to call it in towards you. Note - the deer caller is only available in free hunt mode.

- Pond fishing game in the free hunt. Locate the small pond near the entrance to the free hunt and play a simple fishing game to relax. 10 fish in a row earns the player a new outfit.

- New NPC Gator. Gator is the resident expert and will now allow the player to either skip or reset the intro tasks. This serves two purposes. One, is to allow players that don't want to be content gated to jump to having everything unlocked. The other, is to fix and glitches in progress players experienced after the last patch. The previous patch opened up the ability for the task progression to break when selecting certain weapons or mini games ahead of schedule. If a player is currently missing an NPC or access to a weapon (except the scoped rifle, this is still unlocked from trophy buck kills) then they can speak to Gator to either restart the tasks or just jump to everything being unlocked. Note, this has no effect on kill counts for unlocks.

Bug Fixes:

- Aiming while accessing the computer will no longer cause a crash
- Players can no longer access the weapons in the cabin ahead of time, subsequently breaking task progression
- Corrected a few sound errors
- Removed two lines of code that were causing a graphical glitch
