Patch 3.1a - UI Redo, bug fixes, AI logic

Update 3.1a

  • General/Server

  • Upon releasing after dying, player's equipment has a 35% chance to be destroyed. All consumables/inventory items are still 100%. Repair cost has been reduced to 50% of the item's value per durability. This change was voted on by the community and we will test out to see how it is.

  • Monsters now run a behaviour pattern reflective of their type. (Only some monsters are affected today, over the course of the weekend, all monsters will receive a complete overhaul of their abilities, stats, damage and behaviour.

  • Player actions and fellow monster actions will dictate how specific monsters will react or behave.

  • Players can now be staggered by monsters. If a player is staggered, nearby monsters will seek the opportunity to burst the player.

  • Players casting spells, especially heals, may cause specific monster types to target that player. Regardless of current tank threat.

  • Conditions like health, nearby player/monster count, stats, actions, and movements may all change the monster behavior.|

  • Clients will now sync monster positions better. Needs testing to see if invisible monsters are still a thing.

  • GDOC debug mode now turned off. You can no longer disable GDOC (Why would you, it gives u better performance)

  • Improved visual post processing clarity across the board.

  • Weather

  • It may occassionally rain in some zones.

  • Ground gets kinda wet if it does.

  • It may awkardly rain in Testertown but not TestRegion2, vice versa.

* Items

  • Medium Armor weight, reduced.

  • Heavy Armor slight weight reduction.

  • All equipment now have 35% death chance instead of 100%.

  • Zone Changes

  • Tier 1 Resource nodes will only spawn 80 to 90% of time. Meaning there can only be 9 out of 10 nodes up at once. This is to increase randomness.

  • Tier 2 Resource nodes will only spawn 70 to 80% of the time. Meaning there can only be 8 out of 10 nodes up at once. This is to increase randomness.

  • New - Dense Nodes

  • Dense Nodes can be harvested up to 12 times.

  • Have slightly higher drop chances.

  • Exist in only areas guarded by powerful elites.

  • More resource nodes added to TestRegion2.

  • More resource nodes added to Grand Heart Plains

  • Added some zone names, will add more in 3.2

  • TesterTown has received a face lift.

  • Magical runes added in some hidden areas. (See if you can find them! 5 Guild Trophies to the first to post a picture of it in the general chat)

  • Increased vegetation and post processing in some areas.

  • A new cave has been added to Grand Heart Plains.

  • Lord Botan and his men have arrived on the Grand Heart Plains.

  • User Interface

  • Added a toggle UI button at the bottom right corner of the screen.

  • White box now properly replaced by a default image or your class image (May be buggy for some classes)

  • Only new characters will have their class icon for now.

  • Action Bar Redo

  • Target frame redo, you can now drag it.

  • Party frame redo, you can now drag it.

  • Party members should properly display their buffs now.

  • Fixed Character Window hiding the clone character model when equipping a cape.

  • Disabled some UI elements.

  • Chatbox refined and moveable now.

  • Minimap disabled

  • Added a compass at the top of the screen

  • Items

  • Tier 3 Yew and Tier 3 coal now available.

  • New Item - Adventurer's Backpack, purchasable from the Adventurer's Association but requires Iron Rank to use. Grants 500 carry weight.

  • New Item - Gatherer's Backpack, purchasable from the Adventuerer's Association but requires Iron Rank to use. Grants 800 carry weight but adds 2 seconds to swing timers.

  • New Item - Linen Pouch sold from Adventurer's Association.

  • Linen Cloaks are now sold from the Adventurer's Association.

  • Bugfixes

  • 1 HP / 1Mana bug should be fixed.

  • Well Water now working (Finally)

  • Fixed "It's All Ogre Now" to properly require only 1 Ogre Boss Kill

  • Fixed Quest Text

  • Fixed some mismatch item descriptions.

  • Fixed revive to properly target a dead player.

  • Fixed collision issues in certain areas.

  • Fixed doors to now be instant when changing areas.

  • Fixed lighting issues regarding Crest Ocean URP.

  • Fixed animation getting stuck when jumping with a staff during combat.

  • Fixed deathloop animation for in some rare cases.

  • Fixed Old Man to properly reward a his quest regarding a hidden satchel item.
