Hi all
This is our second Major Update of the year! Can I ask all playtesters to start a new game, and play it as if you are coming to the game afresh, and attempt to complete the game as far as sector 3 where you encounter the new environments. Then feedback to me using f1 in game, and/or through discord. Thanks kindly!
This build has a bunch of new stuff I'm really excited to add, that really help flesh out the backbone of the game and set the stage for some interesting things to come. The most notable changes are a set of new farming outposts, and associated trash and elements, a stock market, with dynamic prices that fluctuate and are affected by your trading actions, plus three factory style product machines which you can use to make and sell products. We added the Holo-Map which you can use in space to get your bearings and find key locations such as entity bases and unidentified signals. We also have our first (of many) NPC quests, which we're testing in the first sector, and finally the Galactic Map, which you can access via your suit menu to plot your route through your designated salvage sector.
We also have some cool new sound effects, and some new visual effects in the form of ambient occlusion which round off the look of the game nicely, and a bunch of other balance, tweaks and fixes. We'll shortly be expanding products and items and tech you can build alongside other interesting things, so keep an eye out!
