Hey everyone, this one is a bit of a bigger one. This update introduces a community requested feature (currently in experimental state) and a bit of small quality of live improvements and smaller changes. This patch also introduces a new music pack, featuring ReeK / Asatsumei.

Reek is a German EDM producer mostly known for his his non-genre-specific and intense tracks. Three songs introduced in this pack provide a lot of variety, but they have one thing in common, they're fast. These songs are:

お菓子 Rave Party (ft. L4hee) - https://soundcloud.com/reek_wobs/rave-party-ft-l4hee

Galaxy Collision - https://soundcloud.com/reek_wobs/reek-galaxy-collision-from-thx-for-xx-years

A Day At The Arcade - https://soundcloud.com/reek_wobs/reek-a-day-at-the-arcade-from-cynthetic-collective-retrogenisis

Map set accompanying these bangers is the most difficult one in Twin Edge by quite a margin. These maps will feature complex patterns, fast streams and [REDACTED]. You probably won't beat them on your first try... I suggest getting used to them with No-Fail or Easy mutators enabled.

Changelog:

  • Waveform in the Timing section of the editor now has 8 times as much detail, which should make timing easier. (sometimes the ending of a song doesn't match the audio perfectly, but the rest of the song should be still good).
  • Added an experimental new feature to the editor. Experimental because there are and will be bugs and/or unintended behaviour with it. Currently the only known bug is putting parts of that feature before the first note in a map breaks the game a little bit.
  • Rotation speed limits changed from 30-200 to 10-400.
  • If the first color transition is an instant (0 second) one, the song will start from the beginning with that color instead.
  • Menu mouse cursor has been changed, because the previous one was too similar to one particular circle clicking game and didn't serve the same purpose.
  • Bottom timeline in the editor now offsets depending on the song offset.
  • Note timeline (the one where you edit the actual song) now culls note visuals less aggressively. In non technical terms there will be no more beat lines disappearing when they should be visible.
  • If the first object in the map (an event, a note or [REDACTED]) is more than 10 seconds in, an option appears to skip that wait period.
  • (Bugfix) Fixed a break happening in the middle of a hold note when there was a hold end and a hold start on the same millisecond.

Be sure to report any bugs over at the Discord server (and I'm sure there will be some):
