Its been a long journey, but its finally here! UGMANIA IS ON STEAM!!!
The legacy 0.7.2 version is still available on itch.io, and it will stay that way.
NEW ADDITIONS IN 0.8!!!
- 4 new bosses!
- New classes (although they are barebones at the moment): Ranger and Mage!
- ADDED CHESTS!!! GONE ARE THE DAYS OF LAGGY ITEMS STREWN EVERYWHERE!!! Including shared inventory chests as well!
- New progression (thats what 2 of those bosses are). The Compoundry, the best crafting station as of yet, now needs a boss to be beaten.
- Modifiers! When crafted, a weapon (or tool) has a chance to get a modifier! You can change these modifiers at a certain villager, but it will cost you...
- Effects! You can now get status effects like Burning, Deafened or Poisoned! There are also positive effects, which leads us onto our next point...
- Brewing! You can now create drinkable potions to give yourself benefits!
- Radiation! A gimmick on Wasteland planets. Staying on one of these planets for too long (or just touching the water a bit too much) will cause you to start taking damage! You could use a potion to be more resistant to it...
- A starting cutscene and tutorial!
- Mana! All staffs are now part of the mage class and consequently use mana.
- Many new items!
- Achievements!
- Made the sun and moon not tied to each other, they move independently. This makes for more interesting skies.
- Added more settings, and revamped the UI.
- Changed save files a ton, they are encrypted now and are stored in a folder thats created in documents by default. You can configure where this folder is.
- Made the play time in HMS instead of decimal hours (this took longer than it should have)
- Cheats are disabled, and enabling them in the play menu will disable achievements. (All old save files count as cheated)
- Probably more that I forgot.
