Update 15 July - Daily Deals
For those that do not follow us on Twitter, here's what was found out since this blog post. The background images are a map of daily deals to come. Every 3 days, the background image switches to a new map with the daily deals for the next 3 days. Tomorrow's (16th of June) daily deal: Football Manager 2013.
It begins!
The Summer Sale has started right on time, and as everyone suspected the Mystery Cards were to be used in the Summer Sale. They have been converted to game specific cards that let you complete the Summer Sale badge. After the summer sales are done, we'll write up a blog post with some stats.
We've had some very short downtimes/sluggishness throughout the day. Calculator was temporarily disabled as it was slowing down the site because Steam was slow in returning our API calls.
Map/Postcard icons
One thing not everyone noticed, is that most postcards (click on a complete card in the Summer Sale badge) has a small icon referring to icons on the larger map. The store background is also a map. This is most likely a tiny thing that only is meant for finding references to a map. But for all we know there's more to this than we think. There's also serial codes starting with SS13 (Summer Sale 2013) on the postcards which I've listed as well. Leave a comment if you have any ideas.
