Mystery Cards

Update - July 10: Post updated to reflect ClassID changes after July 9th's maintenance.

Update - July 9: Stage 4! See card specific links below.

Update - July 8: The art on the cards has changed again. We're now at Stage 3.

When crafting a badge, there's a random chance it'll drop a fancy "Mystery Card".
The exact function (other than probably being used in the summer sales) of these cards are indeed a mystery, but here's what we do know:

  • The only thing (for now) that differs between cards is their internal "ClassID".
  • There are 10 normal cards available
    • The "ClassID" range for these cards is 168230920 through 168230930, with 168230925 not being available
    • Card ClassIDs were updated. See below table for new IDs.
  • There are 10 foil cards available
    • There does not seem to be a similar ClassID structure compared to the normal set of cards. See below for full list.
  • The art changes for normal cards:
  • The art changes for foil cards:
  • The cards belong to AppID 245070 which according to the market information has the name "Mysterious", probably just to have it say "Mysterious Trading Card"
  • Update - July 10: Cards received after the maintenance of July 9th will have different ClassIDs. (See "NEW" in below list)
  • Update - July 10: Existing cards acquired before July 9th maintenance will be converted to the new IDs when the inventory refreshes (after buying/trading/receiving something). They are not randomized, so you should keep the same amount of cards/ID.

For you collectors, we've updated our userscript to show which card is which ClassID in both the market and your inventory. Now you can easily collect them and make sure you have all the different cards.

Update - July 10: We've added the new card IDs. You can use the table below as a conversion table.
