Airmen 1.14.7 begins a process of updating the island visuals. This update improves the cliff face shader and adds large rocks to cliff faces. Since this is the start of a longer process, you will only find these large rocks at Harbor, Lookout, Atoll, and Table for now. The shader improvements also come with a performance cost and will become the new "high" for the "terrain quality" setting. The old style is now "medium" and will be default for all current players. If you want to see the new cliff face shader select "high" for "terrain quality" in the in-game settings menu.
Two small quality of life features are also added this update. Picking up or equipping a parcel now informs you of its contents on your crosshair so you don't have to remember the contents or guess when you take it from a cage. When an engine or filled pressure well is destroyed on a ship, a short engine destruction sound will play to inform your repairmen of their shame. The sound plays from the position of the destroyed part but will not play if another engine is destroy while it is already playing to prevent any audio onslaughts.
- Began adding large rocks to island cliff faces to make them look more like rocky cliff faces. Harbor, Atoll, Lookout, and Table have been updated. The other Islands will be updated in the near future.
Added a sound when a filled pressure well or engine is destroyed nearby.
Picking up or equipping a parcel informs you of its contents on the crosshair.
Improved the terrain shader with normal mapped cliff faces. Because this new shader costs additional performance, the old style is the new "medium" for "terrain quality". Anyone using the old "high" setting must change their "terrain quality" setting back to "high" in the in-game settings menu.
Added oil to lookout.
Fixed the tree trunk texture being blurry and stretched out.
Fixed incorrect part stats for mag beam and mag beam focuser firepower.
