New Game Mechanic
Inject yourself with a mutator and it changes how COMPOUND plays.
Don't like needles? A 'No Needle' mode is also available (replaces needles with party poppers).
Currently there are three mutators; many, more sophisticated mutators are on the way. The current mutators are semi-placeholder and are bound to change and improve.
GUN MAGNET (disposable guns!)
- Enemies drop weapons
- No ammo drops / reloading
DAMAGE AMPLIFIER (Hotline Miami, in VR!)
- All enemies die with one shot
- You die with one shot
PEOPLE POPULATOR (More chaos!)
- Enemies have less HP
- Faster bullets
- More enemies
- Added 3 game mutators: GUN MAGNET, DAMAGE AMPLIFIER, and PEOPLE POPULATOR
- Wrist teleporter can now be used when dual wielding!
- Mutator vending machine in HQ
- Shower in HQ (use to cleanse mutations)
- Fridge in HQ now open, filled with milk (just a visual upgrade at this stage)
- Option to replace needles with party poppers
- Active mutator displays on wrist HUD
- Better map portals for debug mode (shooting range now doubles as teleporter area when debug mode enabled)
Upcoming: new weapon and mutator unlocks!
