Brian and I have been working tirelessly since launch, determined to fix everything, and we’re happy to present today’s major update. Our third update adds a lot of polish, improvements, some new features, and the last of the bug fixes.
Later next week, we'll share our road-map for the entire early access development cycle, and release another large update fixing the last remaining bugs and adding the majority of quality-of-life and feature improvements requested by our players on our Steam Forums and Discord.
With that complete, we`ll be able to start pushing ahead with updates to art, animations, performance, and major new features.
With that said - let's take a closer look at what our update #3 (game version 0.37) brings to the table. And please note that we are only listing larger changes here:
- Major improvement to visual performance on the world map
- New notification window when a player becomes an outlaw or regains the King's favor
- New notification window for when a player's Lords rebel or return to the fold
- First work on updating all of the units - Swordsman model and props updated
- Reworked animations for world map armies
- World map army units no longer slide but properly walk
- Demanding towns count towards city capture victories
- Reworked Help window interface and size
- Help windows are now a lot easier to use and read
- Fixed skirmish achievement "Battle Won, War Next"
- Created new UI windows for when war is declared on a player by an AI Kingdom
- Created new UI window for when peace is signed with an AI Kingdom
- Fixed major issue where AI would not properly use gunpowder units and task them in melee
- Various improvements to how AI tasks units during battles
- Reworked Not Enough Resources dialogue - it now shows the amount of missing resources
- Fixed various bugs with the Not Enough Resources pop-up
- Disabled placing Call To Arms during Tutorial/Prologue
- Fixed various issues with selecting armies on the world map
- Disabled selecting multiple armies on the world map
- Disabled double-click selecting random armies on the world map
- Fixed Adviser's name in quests pop-ups - they now properly say Steward, Marshall, etc
- World Map buildings no longer incorrectly show needing citizens
- Tech window now shows correct Not Enough Resources dialogue
- Fixed AI now properly building hamlet walls on the world map
- A lot of polish to localization
- Finalized all translated text
- Fixed ESC key not closing some menus like Load Campaign or Control menu
