An update to Half-Life 1: MMod has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart your Steam client. The major changes include:
- Added community-made USS Darkstar modification, made by Neil Manke and his team and adapted it to work with Half-Life 1: MMod, with couple of enhancements and fixes.
- Separated Half-Life: Uplink into a separate project, thus returning Hazard Course into Half-Life 1: MMod.
- Added basic “Compatibility Patch” support and Change Game button, see included USS Darkstar as how to make your own “Compatibility Patch”.
- Added janky in-game option to toggle texture filtering ( pixelated or blurry textures ), requires you to restart the game twice in some scenarios. Better than nothing?
- Extra HEV Voice Lines setting no longer disables weapon pickup animations.
- Fixed incorrect HUD sprite rendering.
- Fixed vanilla security guard not blinking.
- Fixed security guard badge by removing security guard badge.
- Reworked how the game pre-caches visual effect sprites, this might introduce one time millisecond long micro-stutters, but might alleviate random crashes during long play.
- Fixed Satchel Charge Radio draw animation delay.
- Added Scope-Out and Scope-Idle animations for crossbow.
- Fixed .357 Python missing and misaligned shells during reload animation.
- Added basic crosshairs for Satchel Charge, Snark and Hand Grenade.
- Fixed bullet fly-by sounds not playing for Projectile Bullets.
- Reverted Shotgun fire rate change ( from 1.0s to 0.75s ) + shortened secondary fire rate ( from 1.5s to 1.4s ).
- Snarks are now hostile towards everyone.
- Fixed first person legs swim animation.
- Crosshairs should properly update after respawn.
- Player models no longer disappear during deathmatch, presumably. Untested.
- Soda.
