This thread is dedicated to discussing DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die Edition.
When online in this fcking game will turn on????
I also expected it ...
Looks like it. A new code line apear "usemms", by which they could stop using the match making server, which they did. So it seems intentionnal, without telling anyone, they pulled the plug.
I guess tomorrow, It's weekend, no one works shit during weekend :x
Multiplayer broke 5 days ago. What is their excuse for wednesday, thursday and friday ?
If Dark Souls 3 multiplayers break they will work to fix it like crazy. Because Dark Souls 3 is in the spotlight right now.
Of course they would, but we're talking bout a 4y game here. And they did seem to fix it once, or was it twice?
If this was unintentional, and someone else messing with us, i assume it'll be back up tomorrow, if this is all intentional and they just don't want to tell us, then... Well.. Yeah... Hope they'll get it up again i guess...
Sorry to say but it was intentional. Config line was added manually, tested few times (to see if it turns the online off, as intended), and now in effect. They pulled the plug, I hope reality proves me otherwise, but I see no other explanation, sorry. And guess what, not the first time Bamco does something like this. I say it's over, and next week is not going to be any different from previous 9 days.
Well, i could go with the whole conspiracy idea and assume It's over, or maybe that It's just being off for maybe 1-2 weeks. But I'd rather not, without any official words about this, I'll just assume It'll be back up again. If anyone can get some fact that It's finished, then I'd like to see that so i know for sure. The whole turning on/off testing thing does sound plausible, but again, no proof/fact, only assumptions.
I'll just be hoping for the best, the coming days.
You want facts, here's one:
usemms line has been added to the launch configuration of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, 9 days ago from now. It wasn't there before. That's when the switching off and on started. Official word, like Bamco even posted any when they pulled the plug off from other games before?
It's just that I don't see a reason for which Bamco would pull the plug. Dark Souls works on P2P, and Steam works as a server browser. It's not like it's super expensive to maintain
I really hope it's not true, Dark Souls 3 has so many references to Dark Souls 1, and the Dark Souls community would surely recommend 1 to new players of dark souls 3. Perhaps Bamco feels that the PvE experience would suffice (since it would cover the lore etc) hence taking online away?
I just want to play in fcking coop or pvp, I don't care what's wrong with devs, I pay fro play but devs don't want to fix this sh*t......
OH Y GOD IS TURNED ON AGAIN
PRAISE THE SUN!! Thank for fixing it ^^
Sale off DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die™ Edition plzzz
It has been over a month since the Dark Souls servers have gone down. The game is NOT dead, and I understand that DS3 is hotter than a jalapeno right now, but I am really getting irritated that we've not gotten the servers back yet.
The servers are currenlty online or not?
The servers went up for about twenty minutes the other day, and now we are back to nothing. Such I downer. I refuse to buy dark souls 3 until I can play through the previous games.
