So... I built an MVC5 website using Steam OpenID.
Up until I switched host for the website, anyone was able to login with Steam (the usual Steam login, saying the website is not affiliated with Valve, etc). If they used OpenID for the first time, the website promt them to choose a username to which their Steam provided Key is attached. If they signed in while having an account already, it logs them in.
10 days ago, not too long after changing host for the website, when trying to use Steam OpenID, either to sign in for the first time or log back in, Steam would always return a null info value. Using wireshark and fiddler reveiled an error code: ACCESS_DENIED.
I even went ahead and created a clean and new website project, added the Steam Auth package and tried login in. Same message.
I thought it was maybe a host related issue, since it happened not too long after switching it, so I went ahead and tried 3 different hosts:
I tried it with the previous host, the new host and even localhost (IIS Express for development), all had the same results.
I went ahead and changed the Steam API key given by Steam, bound to my new host (and domain), didn't work either.
After searching through 20 pages of Google results, I nearly tried everything.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue before or has any exprience with Steam's OpenID feature?
