There has been 'timeupdated' field tracked for branches in the apps history for a few days now. Could there be added a title attribute to the del / ins / added / removed values of it with value of the timestamp converted to UTC time (for displaying on mouse over)?
It is not much for the value of <ins>, which appears to be usually set just a few seconds before time of the change itself, but rather for the value of <del>, which you either need to convert from the UNIX timestamp manually, or otherwise search for the previous change of the branch in the history.
I just added time formatter in timeupdated diffs, and it also displays a neat little thing that displays time difference between Valve's timeupdated and SteamDB's.
Is this timeupdated information new to Steam or has SteamDB only just started monitoring it?
It's new. We don't need to do anything extra to track new fields like that.
Ah that's pretty cool.
Also, I've spotted ampersands (probably just symbols in general) don't seem to show correctly in the developer field - might want to make sure to convert back from HTML characters before you display it. Example: https://steamdb.info/app/427760
That is developers fault, not ours.
"developer" "Wolf & Wood Interactive Ltd"
"publisher" "Wolf & Wood Interactive Ltd"
Ah right, it shows correctly on the Steam Store page, I didn't think to check the raw data.
Couldn't you run it through a PHP function like html_entity_decode just to make the field a bit more robust in case it happens on other apps? I presume that's what Steam is doing.
No we're not going to mess with data like that.
