Hello! Sorry if this has been a covered topic already. I could not find suitable references by searching.
Since (1) every game you get on Steam is really a subscription (SubID) and not a direct game or application (AppID); and (2) provided SteamDB is already able to tell which SubID one has on the account, my question is:
Is it possible to have the Steam calculator list items as subscriptions (SubIDs) instead of games (AppIDs)?
I know this might have some problems regarding name of susbcriptions not being completely updated since they were removed by Valve, but I still think it would be a useful view regarding price of the package, Wilson score and other info shown.
Many thanks in advance for any clues on the matter.
There is no way for us access which packages you own.
Thanks for your prompt answer, but I'm confused. If you cannot access which packages a user owns, how can you show the "You own this package" message? You just figure it out based on the games the user has?
Whatever the formula you have for doing it, it's good enough to be able to display the Steam calculator list in terms of SubIDs, or am I missing something here?
"You own this package" is shown by our browser extension, which makes a request to the Steam store, and that only works whenever you are logged in.
Oh, I see. Thanks a lot for the clarification!
