When I calculate my account value, it says the total account value is
$2436 CAD...but when I put it to USD it says it's $2210 USD. Is the site very accurate or is it just a ballpark? The ratio is far off what is real.
That's because it's not a ratio-determined value. Take a look at the The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth page for example. If you live in the United States, the game will cost you $14.99. If you live in Canada, however, it will cost you $16.99 (Canadian dollar).
Many games don't have the exact same prices in another region. So if you have a lot of games, there may be a big difference.
SteamDB just adds all the values in the currency of your choice and then returns it. It doesn't calculate your account value with only one currency and then convert it in all the other currencies.
