So I'll keep this short and quick and easy to read;
Do you think it'll ever be possible to get the size of the entire game by fetching the game's info via Steam's API?
It would be interesting to see someone make a service that tells you how much space you would need to install all your games.
Steam has that info, when you go to install a game it'll tell you, so the API exists, privately.
That being said, with the public API: possible? yes, but it's unlikely. Of course someone/something like steamdb could compile a database that has that (tied to the build id of course)
Steam most likely uses (max)size field in depots section, and sums them all up for depots which you have access to.
