Can anybody help me? I have been searching for a while now and I seem unable to find a simple api request to get a games informations based on its id.
I am pretty sure there is one. I only need the games Name and possibly th link to its logo image. Would be ideal if it had multiple ids per request supported. I know there is The list of all id's but I prefair informations to choosen games instead of running a compare script over a immense return.
Have you tried http://store.steampowered.com/api/appdetails?appids=APPID ?
Slight note about that API endpoint: it used to support a CSV of appids so you get information on multiple appids at once, but Valve decided to be Valve and removed that facility. You can only fetch info on one appid per request now.
Just FYI, appdetails API is rate limited to 200 requests per 5 minutes and multi-appid support has been removed.

Wow, quite a string, do you know where I can find any documentation or do I have to figure it out for my self?
@RJ Dammit, I had hope when because it says "appids" it would pass multiple app ids. Do you know why they would remove the supporrt for it?
@Timmy the Duck Thief Good to know, quess the best thing to do then is to store them all in my own database... And fetch it as a cronjob once in a while... Dammit I hoped I could have done it without sql. That's where I tend to make a lot of mistakes....
Thank you all :)
I'm not sure why Valve removed support for multiple appids to be passed. I know there was a kerfuffle a while ago with the Enhanced Steam browser plugin causing significantly increased load on the storefront servers by using the appdetails endpoint - maybe it was related to that?
With regards to documentation, I wrote up some brief notes on the storefront API endpoints a while ago. I haven't revisited the notes in a long time, so they may very well be outdated, but it might be of some value to you.
