I noticed that to my dismay, the Top Owned Games list has disappeared. I used it as a way to approximate the sales level of various games (bearing in mind that the distribution was probably skewed in ways I could only guess). Would you care to share the reasons of its demise? Was there any kind pressure from the publishers or Steam? I suppose a blog post about this change would be most welcome by the community.
Also, I applaud the new addition to SteamDB - the Top Rated Games list. It's certainly much more readable and reliable than the one I get by searching Steam for an empty string and sorting results by score.
Could you extend it to show more games? Ideally, all the way to the end, but if it's unfeasible for some reasons, to show at least the top 5%? Top 100 from about 7000 is a tiny, tiny sliver.
And finally - thank you for SteamDB. It's an invaluable resource
I've already answered this question on twitter. The reason is gone because our owned games table is horribly unstable, every time I do something to the database, that table gets corrupted, or crashes or whatever. So I've removed that page to minimize impacts on that table.
I will add an option to expand top rated games list in the future.
