Is there any way to know, that 4-pack is able to buy as gift?
(not able to buy 4-Pack as gift) Rust
(able to buy 4-Pack as gift) Toxikk
When you buy a four pack, one copy is placed in your library immediately, the remaining three are placed as items in your inventory for gifting, or can be traded when the trade restriction is lifted.
This applies to any steam store entry, so if a four pack is available for purchase, three of the copies can be given to other people
If you already one the game, you will not be able to proceed with a transaction
「Your account already owns some of the above items, so you can’t purchase them again. You can purchase these items as a gift or adjust the contents of your cart to continue」
Unless you have been using family sharing for Rust on your account, You will not be able to buy a four pack of rust on your steam account.
This the kind of answer you are looking for?
You can buy TOXIKK 4-Pack as gift. Im asking about more games with this possibility.
This list contains all packages that will add three games to your inventory (aka a four pack)
From each package, you can navigate to the App tab to visit the game entry further store page
The search can also be modified with basic operators if you want different results
There is no way to know other than testing every 4-pack on the store. The "giftability" of a sub isn't something that is broadcast to Steam clients as far as I know. Which makes sense - only the Steam store needs to know this.
Having a comprehensive list would be nice, but then Volvo might fixerino :/
Another example is Left 4 Dead. The original one, not L4D2.
Yeah, nice answer. Well, now we have 2 items: TOXIKK and L4D. :D
What if I want to send a copy of a game to a friend, but in his account says that he can't acces community services because he has to spend 5USD on Steam store... Does it blocks me from sending him a copy of the game?
