It was very useful feature to be able to sort games that are currently on sale by their metascore. This way you can find a decent game with a discount.
But at the moment there is no column with metascore so you have to look through all the rows in the table and try to spot anything good and this is pretty hard to do.
Why metascore column was removed?
Adding a column for percentage of positive reviews (and number of reviews on hover) would honestly be more informative than metascore. Too bad those aren't provided via an API (last I checked at least).
I don't think the sales tab was ever made to explore games that people may want. It's purely there to show the sales because the actual site sucks in listing them.
Exactly what symbol man said. I will add user reviews column once Valve adds an API for that (they should, since they should be displaying these in Big Picture)
Still, the ability to sort the grid by Metascore to see what highly acclaimed games are on some sort of sale was an incredibly useful feature, and something we (to my knowledge) no longer have any way to do either through Steam or this site anymore. I understand that user reviews would give a better total picture of quality since not all games have a Metascore, but in the absence of being able to implement that (given the lack of an API for it, as stated), it would be awesome at least not to lose the functionality we already had. Please consider either re-adding the column, or at least providing a suitable workaround to avoid having to go back to clicking on every single game to get any data on ratings of any kind.
I second this request. The way I used SteamDB was always the same - I opened the Sales page, then looked at highly discounted games with Metacritic score higher than 75. Without this data I'm afraid the site is of little use to me. Please consider bringing this feature back!
I've brought back metascores for now. Keep in mind they will be removed once we are able to display Steam's user scores.
Thank you for this.
Being able to search sales by ratings is fantastic ability of this site, like Yirg said.
Thank you, much appreciated!
The metascores are gone again, replaced with the less useful Steam users binary votes (Recommended/Not Recommended is not a score). Any reason why?

I thought [Dev] stood for "Deviant" not "Developer" :(
