Hi Everyone, sorry if this has been asked before, as you may know the backup system on steam its... not precisely perfect, so, I'm making backups of my games through the copying of the steamapps folder of each game with its acf files, problem being I was a genius and made a backup of some of my games -without- the acf file, and since I don't have the acf files the backup its pretty much worthless
my question is, is there any place I can find the acf files for the games -without- having to download the game in its entirety just to get a 1kb file for it?
Just install the game via Steam, it should discover content on disk.
that's mainly the problem, without the acf file I'm finding that dropping the steamapps folder I backed up on the steam apps folder and clicking on install will cause steam to just redownload the game again in its entirety
if I have the acf file it doesn't happen
