This isn't directly related to SteamDB, but I'm currently thinking about making simple to use lua api for steam using something like Steam4NET.
Steam power users would benefit from automating certain repetitive tasks such as logging their chats, responding to friend requests, etc without having to go through making a complex c++ application with something like open steamworks.
Besides that there are the little fun things like a personal chat bot or counting the hours you are away in your nickname :v
Has valve expressed anything on this matter or should I be fine as long as I wouldn't spam steam or otherwise abuse it?
If you are handling users' credentials or auths, then expect to get b&
I am not, Steam4NET runs next to the normal steam client.
