i'm a student of statistic, and my final paper is about decadence of game styles(RPG, FPS, MOBAS), for this i whant to use infos provided by steamDB, is there any way to get this data?
thanks, sorry for the bad english
How are we getting this information?
Can I use auto-refreshing plugins or automatically scrape/crawl SteamDB?
Recent thread asking how to get game descriptions
I suggest you invest some time and make your own steam scraper suited to your needs, using SteamKit and or the webAPIs like appdetails. I also think you are after user specific data, which steamDB likely would not just hand over, and player estimates per game is done by SteamSpy (not SteamDB).
thanks for the answer.
I already use the data from SteamSpy, but my interest is in "Players every day" data (or CCU on SteamSpy), but SteamSpy claims this data as an SteamDB's courtesy
https://api.steampowered.com/ISteamUserStats/GetNumberOfCurrentPlayers/v1/?format=json&appid=<APP_ID> and crawl that occasionally for a week or two and you can graph it. (API Key may also be required)
