Greetings Ladies and gentlemen,
I'm the developer of a tool called "DayZ Notification". Yesterday many users of my programm got banned on your site from Cloudfare. I think, my tool seems as DDOS attack to you, but this is definitly not the purpose of my tool.
What does my Tool do? It sends HTTP Requests at SteamDB (AppID: 221100) and analyses the informations which it gathers (App Name, Revision number, Current players and Graph) every X Seconds (minimum 5 Seconds because it is NOT an DDOS Tool) and I think, these 5 Seconds is to short and so ppl got banned from your site.
For many ppl it is possible just to reconnect his internet to get a new IP and get access back, but there are also users which are using static ips. I informed all users, to disable the auto-check module so they have to push manually a button to receive data. I'm really sorry about that and hope we can find a way to unban these ppl because this is MY fault!
You should either come to #steamdb-announce and configure your client to alert you when the app updates, or create your own app that directly interacts with Steam.
